Trucks & Boxes is dedicated to providing a personal or corporate moving plan that meets the needs of all of its customers. We recognize that each household or corporate move is different, and they strive to provide a variety of moving resources geared to offer a more personalized moving experience. Trucks & Boxes is designed with you in mind, tailor-made to fit your budget, time and your moving needs. Truck & Boxes is licensed by the department of transportation (https://www.transportation.gov), regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety administration (https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov) and most importantly the United States Moving Protection Organization, or the USMPO (https://usmovingprotection.org). Although every legitimate mover is licensed and regulated by the DOT and FMCSA, only a handful of movers have been approved by the stringent standards of the USMPO authorized pricing protection. The USMPO is the only consumer protection organization in the moving industry that specifically focuses on price regulation. Since April 4, 2022, the USMPO has begun to regulate and standardize interstate moving rates. Ask your Trucks & Boxes representative about their standing with the USMPO.

That being said, don’t expect much in the way of frills. When you go with a budget option like TrucksandBoxes, you’ll get a budget experience. Your stuff will get from point A to point B, but you don’t get perks like accurate in-home estimates or better insurance options.

This is where the hard part starts.

Just so you’re aware, here are all the extra fees (so you can hopefully avoid them):

Long-carry fee: Make sure that the moving trucks can get as close to your front door as possible. If movers park over 75 feet away from the door, you’ll need to pay an extra $1 per foot.
Stairs fee: How many steps do you climb to get to your apartment? If it’s over ten steps, you’ll need to pay $50 per day.
Bulky items: Movers will tack on extra fees for bulky, hard-to-pack items. Owners of bean-bag chairs and pianos, beware.
Item insurance: Your move comes guaranteed with basic insurance that covers $0.06 per pound. If you’re worried about anything breaking, you can choose full-value insurance that fully covers any items damaged or lost

Tell us if you’ve been in this situation. You have to move out of your place, but there’s a bit of time before you can move into your new place. What in the world are you supposed to do with your stuff in the meantime? Thanks to 30 days of free storage, you can crash on your friend’s couch knowing your stuff is safely tucked away.

Trucks and Boxes Moving Experience
